Sanjeevini Ayurveda Hospital is a homely panchakarma center situated in serene atmosphere, in Mangaluru (Mangalore) - The city of temples. We started our ayurvedic treatment center in the year 2000, and we are now well known for authentic traditional ayurvedic treatment, in a scientific, modernized way. It is said that ayurveda is as old as humanity. However the origin of Ayurveda is based in Vedas, the oldest classics of the world, written between 10,000 – 4,000 BC. Ayurveda developed as independent scientific system of medicine around 10th century B .C. The aim & objective of ayurveda is preservation of health of the healthy person and curing persons suffering from diseases. Ayurveda deals elaborately with measures for healthy living during the life span & its various phases. It has a wide range of therapeutic measures to combat illness. The positive health according to ayurveda is not only free from diseases but also physical, mental, spiritual & social welfare of every individual.

 

Ayurvedic Diagnosis & Treatment

Dietary requirement should be modified according to the prakriti of the individual. In general, an individual with vata prakriti should take unctuous, warm and sweet substances. One with pitta prakriti should take cool, heavy, sweet, bitter and astringent food articles and kapha prakrithi person should consume food in which dry, warm, light, pungent, bitter and astringent tastes predominate.

We take a careful note of patient's internal physiological characteristics and mental disposition. We study the affected body tissues (Dhatu) & humors (Dosha), location of the disease, person’s resistance & vitality, daily routine, dietary habit, the gravity of clinical condition, power of digestion, and details of socio -economic and environmental status.

The diagnosis also involves following examination:
